Chapter I — The condemned propositions are recounted

¶1.

Alexander VII, proposition 34: One reciting the office of Palm Sunday satisfies the paschal precept. The same, proposition 35: With a single office one can satisfy a twofold precept, for the present day and the next. Restitution imposed by Pius V on Beneficiaries not reciting the office is not owed in conscience before the declaratory sentence of the judge, since it is a penalty. Proposition 20: One having a collative Chaplaincy, or any other ecclesiastical benefice, if he devotes himself to the study of letters, satisfies his obligation if he has the office recited by another. Proposition 21: Restitution of fruits for the omission of the Hours can be supplied by whatever alms the Beneficiary has previously made from the fruits of his benefice. Proposition 33: He who cannot recite Matins and Lauds, but can recite the remaining Hours, is bound to nothing: because the greater part draws the lesser to itself. Proposition 54, Innocent XI.
