1. Sterilization for a therapeutic cause is licit for individuals, but only for the health of the whole body.

2. Sterilization for a eugenic cause is illicit even for the public authority.

3. Sterilization for a punitive cause is licit for the public authority, but it is not fitting or perfectly reasonable, as not depriving one of sexual appetite.

4. Formal or immediate cooperation in sinful sterilization is illicit; merely material and mediate cooperation can be licit, but for a proportionately grave reason.
