This alone appears to be within the natural power of a demon: that, even under the form of some human person or some animal, by bringing true human semen, it may perform a certain artificial impregnation. These various enormities of perverse appetite lack a proper name, so that they must be accused by indicating the substance of the deed. But if someone, excluding sodomy and bestiality, indicates that intercourse against nature was performed by him, by this account also he will have sufficiently declared the lust; nor do the degrees of departure from nature among these excesses seem to have to be distinguished.

We cannot assent to Alberti 1, who recognizes simple pollution in intercourse with a corpse. For although a corpse strictly is neither a man nor a beast, the sinner nevertheless does not use it as an instrument, but is affected toward it as toward a dead human being. Moreover, intercourse itself with a statue, if there was a true affection toward the statue, will not have been simple pollution.
