Chapter XLIII. The canon of the African Council concerning the indissolubility of marriage is inculcated.

"It pleased us that according to the evangelical and apostolic doctrine," etc.

The Franks, with their King, in this matter submit themselves entirely to ecclesiastical discipline, which depends upon dogma.
