From the Council of Orleans, A.D. 511

¶1116.

Canon II. If an abductor with the abducted woman has fled to the Church, and it has been established that the woman herself suffered violence, let her immediately be freed from the hand of the abductor, and let the abductor, immunity from death or penalties having been conceded, either be subjected to the condition of serving or have the free faculty of redeeming himself. But if it has been established that she who is abducted has a father, and the girl, either about to be abducted or abducted, consented to the abductor, let her be returned excused to the power of the father, and let the abductor be held liable by the father to the satisfaction of the preceding condition.
