Chapter — 1917 Code of Canon Law
Chapter IV: Of the Delegated Tribunal
Superseded as law in 1983 — read why this Code still matters. Each canon links to its 1983 counterpart.
§ 1. A judge delegated by the Holy See can use the ministers constituted in the Curia of the diocese in which he must judge; but he can also choose and assume any others whom he prefers, unless another thing is provided in the rescript of delegation.
§ 2. Judges delegated by local Ordinaries, however, must use the ministers of the diocesan Curia, unless in some particular case the Bishop has decreed that his own and extraordinary ministers are to be constituted because of a grave cause.
§ 1. Iudex a Sancta Sede delegatus uti potest ministris constitutis in Curia dioecesis in qua iudicare debet; sed potest etiam alios quoscunque maluerit eligere et assumere, nisi in delegationis rescripto aliud cautum sit.
§ 2. Iudices vero ab Ordinariis locorum delegati uti debent ministris Curiae dioecesanae, nisi Episcopus in aliquo peculiari casu ob gravem causam proprios et extraordinarios ministros constituendos decreverit.
