Can. 2183.

If the pastor has not amended himself, the Bishop is to correct him and punish him with some congruous penalty according to the gravity of the fault, after, two examiners having been heard and the faculty of defending himself having been given to the pastor, he has judged it proved that the aforesaid parochial offices were omitted or violated again and again for a notable time in a matter of grave moment and that the omissions or violations of the same were excused by no just cause.

Can. 2184.

If both correction and punishment have fallen in vain, the Ordinary, the persevering and culpable omission or violation of parochial offices in a grave matter having been proved according to the norm of can. 2183, can immediately deprive a removable pastor of his parish; but he is to deprive an irremovable pastor, according to the gravity of the fault, of the fruits of the benefice in whole or in part, to be distributed to the poor by the Ordinary.
