§ III. On the Acquisition of Dominion
¶1.
Dominion can chiefly be acquired: 1. by occupation; 2. by finding 1; 3. by prescription; 4. by accession; 5. by contracts, concerning which it will be said in a particular Treatise.
1 Others more commonly call finding back to the mode of occupation; and therefore they enumerate not five, but four modes of acquiring dominion.
