Treatise — Vermeersch, Theologia Moralis
Treatise II: On Religious
¶1.
Utility. In moral theology, for the use of schools, only a small space can be reserved for the broad and difficult treatise on religious,(1) in which, besides a few notions concerning the religious state, religious institutes and houses, and the governance of religious, the rights and obligations of individual religious are chiefly explained. For these things are more moral and more useful for all priests to know. Wherefore we too have entered upon this manner of speaking.
(1) We undertake the treatise more broadly and more fully in the third edition of our work De Religiosis institutis et personis.
