On Military Chaplains, During the Present War

"Military chaplains, while they accompany the army, can, during the war, receive the sacramental confessions of any faithful whatsoever who approach them, and in their favor use all the faculties entrusted to them for the forum of conscience. The aforesaid military chaplains, if perhaps detained in captivity, possess the same power in favor of all captives." S. Poenit., Dec. 18, 1914. Thus indeed by special and express apostolic Authority, notwithstanding anything whatsoever to the contrary. A. A. S., vol. 6, p. 712. Fr. A. LEPIDI, O.P., S.P.A.
