Chapter I: On Censures in General

We must treat 1° of the nature and division of censures; 2° of the principle or author of censures; 3° of the subject of censures; 4° of absolution from censures.

Note. - In this Treatise we have taken many things from the little work both of Peter Avanzini, whose title is: On the Constitution Apostolicae Sedis, and of the Most Illustrious and Most Reverend Fr. Aegidius Mauri, O.P., whose title is: Commentaries on the Constitution Apostolicae Sedis. The former is cited according to the 3rd Edition by the word: "Avanz."; the latter according to the 2nd Edition by the word: "Comm."
