Chapter I: On The Obligations Of Clerics By Reason Of State

The obligations by which Clerics are held by reason of STATE can conveniently be reduced to these TWO, namely: 1. that they perform all things which are specially prescribed to them; 2. that they avoid those things which are forbidden to them.
