Treatise II: On Baptism

- Baptism is placed first among the Sacraments, and not without cause; for it is first, not indeed in dignity, but in necessity and order of reception.
We shall discuss: 1. the nature of Baptism; 2. its minister; 3. the subject; 4. the ceremonies of solemn Baptism.4
