Question Three: On Sins Opposed to Prudence
35.
35. Sins are opposed to prudence by excess or by defect: by defect, those which come from defect of prudence or of those things which are required for prudence, and are called by the general name of imprudence; by excess, those which have some likeness with prudence and occur through abuse of those things which are required for prudence, and therefore are called false prudence.
