Preface to the Eighth Edition

In this eighth edition I have brought in all things which in recent years have been decreed by the Roman Curia. Both because of lack of time and especially because of technical difficulties, it was not possible to adduce the most recent moral literature more explicitly. This must be reserved for the next edition, in which various broader changes also will be appended.

May God grant that this new edition may please readers as much as those which preceded it, and may be especially of great utility to students.
