II. On Use

771.

Use is the right of using another's thing, with its substance preserved (St. Alphonsus, III, 487). If the other's thing is a house, it is called habitation.

It is acquired and extinguished in those ways in which usufruct is.

The rights and burdens of the user and of the proprietor are to be drawn from the title and the law.
