Scholion II. On the Inscription of a Convalidated Marriage

835.

The inscription of a convalidated marriage should be made in this way:

I. Convalidation in the external forum should be noted in the customary register of marriages and in the book of the baptized. If the prior marriage has already been inscribed in the usual way, it can either be noted anew with reference to the prior marriage, or all things can be noted in the margin of the prior inscription.

II. Convalidation in the internal forum should be noted in the secret register of the episcopal Chancery, unless the sacramental seal stands in the way. If that stands in the way and the good of the offspring requires inscription, with the license of the penitent or penitents the notation should have place.
