Part — Wouters, Manual of Moral Theology
Part I. On the Sacrifice of the Mass Considered in Itself
199.
The sacrifice of the Mass is aptly defined: the unbloody sacrifice of the New Testament, in which Christ, through the priest, offers Himself under the species of bread and wine to His Father.1
This definition having been given, something must be said briefly first about the existence and essence, then about the efficacy and effects of the sacrifice of the Mass.
