BESTIALITY is defined by St. Bonaventure in the places cited, in the preceding dubium: It is a sin of Luxury committed with a brute animal; whence it is most grave in this genus (except the congress with a demon). The punishment of death is claimed for this crime, and burning after death.

MANY, however, SAY that he is condemned by this punishment even if he does not complete the emission of seed. So Boer. decis. 316. Roland. confil. 7. Clatus §. fornicatio, num. 21. Menoch. de arbitariis quaest. lib. 2. casu 586. Petrus Gregorius syntagmate iuris, lib. 36. cap. 14.

1. §. finali, ff. de extraordin. crimin. ibi: Perfecto flagitio punitur capite; imperfecto, sto, reus in insulam deportatur. Hic textus est praeclarus.

By the Canonical law, however, seven years of penance is imposed, as the Saintly Doctor reports Confess. cap. 3. particula 46.
3. particula 46.
