Disputation XVII: On Quarreling and Sedition
In CHARITY is contained eminently FRIENDSHIP (which, according to the Philosopher, is perfected only between two persons); likewise also political peace, which makes many fellow-citizens of one will and one tongue, for repelling the assaults of outsiders; against the former, Quarreling fights from the opposite side; against the latter, Sedition; against Charity, however, both; therefore both must be briefly considered here.
