Section II: On Peace
1.
The state of the MOST PURIFIED mind is Peace; wherefore it is granted to the peaceable more than to others to be the sons of God, as the Seraphic Doctor notes in comp. Theol. lib. 5. cap. 54., because although mercy assimilates a man to God most of all as regards exterior things, yet as regards interior things, he is assimilated more by Peace.
PURGATISSIMI animi status est Pax; quare pacificis magis tribuitur esse filios Dei, quam aliis, ut notat Seraphicus in comp. Theol. lib. 5. cap. 54. quia licet misericordia hominem Deo maxime assimilet, quoad exteriora, quoad interiora tamen, magis assimilatur Pace.
